Introduction: Model FG50P4

The Anand Control Model FG50P4 is a specialized rotary geared limit switch featuring four contacts. Like other models in the series, it connects directly to the gearbox, and the included coupling protects the shaft from misalignment stress, ensuring long-term operational accuracy.

Working Principle of the FG50P4

The FG50P4 operates using a worm drive mechanism. The key difference in the FG50P4 is its four independent cams and contacts. While a standard limit switch has two cams for upper and lower limits, the FG50P4's four cams allow for more complex control sequences.

For example, two cams can be set for the final upper and lower limits, while the other two can be used for functions like:

  • Slowing down the hoist before it reaches the final limit.
  • Activating a warning light or alarm.
  • Controlling a secondary motion.

Each of the four cams can be adjusted independently to activate its corresponding NC (Normally Closed) or NO (Normally Open) contact at the precise moment required, offering superior control and safety.
