Working Principle
The MDT 400-68 Thruster Brake is a critical fail-safe component. Its operation relies on a pre-stressed compression spring that constantly applies braking force to the shoes. When power is delivered to the integrated electro-hydraulic thruster, it generates hydraulic pressure that overcomes the spring's force, retracting the brake shoes from the 400mm drum and allowing machinery to function. If power is interrupted, the thruster deactivates, and the spring's potential energy is instantly converted to braking force, ensuring the load is stopped and held securely.
